After rebooting and the check disk ran, back to the console, the problematic file now was missing. I ran check disk by typing in the console chkdsk C. Using this disk I started the console and tried to access the file that was giving the error. I tried to do a Startup Repair with the Windows 7 disk, but it said the installed version was incompatible. The problem is that I don’t have this disk, because the computer was bought with the Windows pre-installed in it. It did not boot, instead, a error message appears saying there was a problem in the file: “\windows\system32\config\system” status: 0xc0000001 and description: “windows failed to load because system registry file is missing or corrupt”.Īfter searching in the Internet I found some people saying to do a Startup Repair using the Vista disk. I recently had to solve a problem in a computer with Windows Vista.
